Elimination of Paper Airline Tickets on June 1, 2018

Effective June 1, 2018, the printing of airline tickets on Automated Ticket and Boarding Pass (ATB) ticket stock will be inhibited. After this date, all airline tickets reported and settled through the ARC system must be electronic. This change is expected to have minimal impact as today over 99.9 percent of the airline tickets issued through ARC are electronic, and this number is rapidly approaching 100 percent.

Tip of the Week: Collecting ARC MarketPlace Commissions

Have you earned commissions for tours, activities, cars or passport and visa services booked through ARC MarketPlace? Commission is paid in the month following travel or usage of the product or service. Unless your agency has opted to be paid by direct deposit into your Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) bank account, commission payments to ARC participating agencies are made through credit memos in ARC Memo Manager.

ARC participating agencies can view ARC MarketPlace commission credit memos by signing into My ARC and accessing ARC Memo Manager. Once signed into My ARC, select ARC Memo Manager under the “Your Tools” section on the left-hand menu. Once there, filter for “Carrier 889” which is ARC MarketPlace. Then, you can view and accept any open memos as well as view any closed or inactive memos.

Your agency can also request ARC MarketPlace commission payments be directly deposited and added into your IAR report. To choose this option, the owner or manager must complete the short online Commission Payment via Direct Deposit Form by following the steps below:

  1. Visit ARC MarketPlace Commissions here .
  2. Scroll down to the Commission Payment Method and click ARC Participating Agent.
  3. In the Commission Payment via Direct Deposit pop-up, fill in the necessary information and click Submit.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been processed.
  5. On a monthly basis, any ARC MarketPlace commission earned will be deposited into the agency’s IAR report and an email will be sent to the agency alerting that a payment has been made.
