ARC wants to remind all agents about the age-old change of ownership scheme. These unauthorized ownership changes usually involve situations where the ARC owner of record surrenders control of their agency to the prospective buyer or the buyer's manager. The buyer promises to send the appropriate ownership change application to ARC, but either fails to do so or initiates significant delays in getting all the documents to ARC. The buyer may appear to be very knowledgeable about the industry and lull you into trusting them while the ownership application is pending. The "buyer or manager" may try to get you to allow them to ticket their customers. Whether or not you do the ticketing or you provide GDS access to the buyer, both cash and credit card sales may result in fraud.
Remember — Do not turn over the operation or control of your agency location, your bank accounts and do NOT provide the purchaser/manager with a GDS login or password to drive electronic documents until you have received written notification from ARC that your change of ownership is approved. Until that approval, the ARC agent/owner of record is responsible for all financial losses on ARC traffic documents and electronic tickets supplied to the location.
Visit ARC's Fraud Prevention page for additional resources regarding this scheme.
Owners of record who believe they have been solicited by insincere purchasers are requested to notify ARC Fraud Prevention at 703-816-8137 or email@example.com.

Have you received an ARC MarketPlace booking confirmation email stating your booking is "Pending Confirmation?" There are two major categories of booking methods through ARC MarketPlace for tours and activities: instant confirmation and on request.
Tours and activities that have instant confirmation means you and your client will receive confirmation and vouchers as soon as soon as you book. These tours and activities are immediately available and our business partner (Viator) doesn't need to check with the local supplier to confirm availability. The majority of tours and activities that are available through ARC MarketPlace have instant confirmation.
If you or your clients have booked an "On Request" tour or activity and have not received a confirmation within 48 hours, please contact ARC's Customer Care Center at 855-816-8003 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
