Reminder: My ARC Extended Outage September 19–20

My ARC will be unavailable for an extended outage starting Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 10 a.m. EDT until Monday, September 21 at 7 a.m. EDT. You will not be able to access My ARC or any of its tools or products, including IAR and Memo Manager, during this scheduled time.

This full system outage is necessary in order to complete the final phase of a two-part database migration and security update. ARC realizes this system unavailability has an impact on your work with My ARC tools. The intent of this advance notice is to provide you with adequate time to make any necessary schedule adjustments. The weekend date was chosen to minimize the impact to My ARC users, because weekends have the lowest amount of user activity. All systems are expected to be fully operational at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 21.

Your understanding and patience are appreciated as we improve and further secure ARC's systems. Please share this information with others in your organization who may be impacted by this scheduled My ARC outage.

Tip of the Week: Changing Your DRS Password

Document Retrieval Service (DRS) passwords expire every 90 days to maintain compliance with PCI and industry standards. When you access DRS for the first time, you are required to change the temporary password initially provided to you by ARC. Changing your temporary password is also required when you get locked out of DRS after 90 days of non-use or when you require a DRS password reset.

Please follow the instructions outlined below for a successful password change:

  • On the DRS login screen, enter your “Organization Number” (your ARC number for agents or your three-digit airline code for carriers), “User ID” and “Password,” then click “Login.” After the system validates your entries, the Password Change screen will display.
  • In the “Old Password” field, enter your current or temporary password—the same as entered on the Login screen.
  • Enter a new password in the “New Password field following the following DRS password requirements:
    • Must be seven to eight characters in length
    • Must contain at least one lower case letter, one upper case letter, one digit and one special character of one of the following: ! @ # $ % ^ *
    • Passwords are case sensitive
    • The new password must be different from the last four passwords used
  • Re-enter your new password in the “Confirm Password field.

After entering the required information, click the “SUBMIT” button. If you make a mistake, you can click the “CLEAR” button to clear the form and start over or click “CANCEL” to return to the Login screen.
