Upcoming My ARC/IAR Extended Outages

My ARC will be unavailable for an extended outage on Saturday, August 29, 2015, beginning at 10 a.m. EDT until Monday, August 31 at 7 a.m. EDT. This means that you will not be able to access My ARC or any of its tools, such as IAR and Memo Manager, during this scheduled time.

This full system outage is necessary in order to perform a database migration and security update, which will be done in two phases. The first phase is the database migration, which will take place the last weekend in August. The second phase will require another extended outage on Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 10 a.m. EDT until Monday, September 21 at 7 a.m. EDT.

ARC realizes that these full system outages will impact your work with My ARC and all ARC tools and products supported behind My ARC. The intent of this advance notice is to provide you with adequate time to make any necessary schedule adjustments. Weekend dates were chosen to minimize the impact to My ARC users, because weekends have the lowest amount of user activity. All systems are expected to be fully operational at 7 a.m. the following Monday morning.

Your understanding and patience are appreciated as we improve and further secure ARC's systems. Please share this information with others in your organization who may be impacted by these scheduled outages.

ARC's Corporate Website is Getting a New Look!

Later this week, you’ll notice we’ve made several aesthetic changes to modernize ARC’s website’s look and feel and help you navigate through it more smoothly. These updates include:

  • A cleaner homepage with easy-to-read news and events sections, so you can stay up to date on what we’re up to, and direct access to our airline sales statistics and fraud prevention pages to provide you with the business insights you need
  • A redesigned airline sales statistics page with a more comprehensive and interactive view of air transactions and trends
  • A new products page that puts you first, allowing you to filter products and services by your own business need for easier navigation and more accessible content
  • An updated participation page for quicker information on the different ways you can partner with ARC—and the benefits of each option
  • A friendlier support page to get you quicker answers with direct access to an online help form as well as easy-to-find resources on all of your business needs
  • And, an improved about ARC page to help you and your peers better understand who we are, what we do and how it gets done

With this update, the My ARC login has shifted to the right-hand side of your screen, but it’s important to know that nothing behind My ARC has changed. Once you login, it’ll be business as usual!

In 2016, we’ll be debuting our fully redesigned site, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy our new look! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact ARC’s Customer Care Center at 855-816-8003 or ccchelp@arccorp.com.

Tip of the Week: Setting Up an IAR User Role and Access Group

Although access to IAR is granted from My ARC, the My ARC administrator or IAR administrator must complete the user set up directly in IAR. When a new user is given IAR access, that new access automatically defaults to the "View Only" user role. In IAR, user roles control what a user can do in a Sales Report. Based upon a user's role, fields in IAR will either be active, disabled or hidden. In this way, a user will only be able to perform actions to which they have the rights to perform. Only administrators may decide and assign the appropriate IAR role and ARC# Group (standard or a custom Access Group created by the administrator) directly in IAR.

To do so, the administrator should follow these steps in IAR:

  1. On the top right section of the IAR display, select the "Administration" global header.
  2. Find the user's profile and click the "EDIT" button.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select a "User Role."
  4. Select a "User Group" (or groups) from the Available Groups column and move it to the "Selected Groups" column using the arrow buttons.
  5. Click the "SUBMIT" button.
  6. The message "Are you sure you wish to modify this user's profile settings?" will appear. Click "YES."
  7. If successful, the message "The user profile has been modified - These changes will take effect the next time the user logs into IAR 2.0" will appear.
