We would like to make you aware of the agent/CTD transaction fee that is assessed on a quarterly basis. The 2015 quarterly fee is set at $0.017 per transaction. An agency reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed a transaction fee. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 2.25 million transactions (per entity). A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn against your ARC designated bank account on or after July 23. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.
Just a friendly reminder that the $23.99 quarterly subscription fee (2nd quarter of 2015, PEDs 04/05/15 through 06/28/15) for travel agency service fees will be debited from your designated ARC account on or after Thursday, July 16, 2015.
Only locations that issued a TASF in the quarter will be charged the fee. If your agency is signed up for TASF but remained inactive during the quarter, there will be no quarterly fee charged.

Recently, Airlines For America (A4A) member airlines ticketing resolutions were expanded to allow for an agency, with permission of the carrier, to exchange a carrier-issued Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD). However, at this time, ARC’s systems do not support agency settlement of a new exchange ticket that uses a carrier-issued EMD. This system limitation will be addressed in the future, but in the meantime, it is important to know that any exchange using a carrier-issued EMD should be settled directly with the carrier.
Note: By design, ARC’s systems do not support the refund or exchange of a ticket originally issued by an airline. However, ARC’s systems do support use of carrier-issued paper vouchers and certificates.
Data security is of the utmost importance to ARC. To that end, effective August 1, 2015, access to all of ARC's tools (e.g., My ARC, IAR, Agency Memo Manager, DRS, etc.) will be limited to users of ARC-approved web browsers and operating systems. Users of non-approved browsers and operating systems will not be supported after this date.
ARC is implementing this initiative because not all web browsers and operating systems offer the same level of security. Ensuring that the web browser, operating system and tools you use are up to date will not only help protect ARC's systems, but will also greatly help prevent your business from being exploited by cyber criminals.
If you are not using a browser and an operating system from the approved list below, you will need to upgrade as soon as possible. Otherwise, your ability to use ARC systems will cease on August 1, 2015.
Approved PC/Mac Operating Systems
Approved Web Browsers
Approved Mobile Platforms – Operating Systems with Native (built in) Web Browsers
Before upgrading your operating system, we strongly recommend that you consult with your IT support desk, or if you don't have one, we suggest you consult with an IT professional. Click here to learn the name of the web browser and operating system you are using.
With e-tickets being so prevalent, many agents have decided to go electronic. A common reason agents decide to make this change is to avoid the cost and downtime of repairing or replacing a broken ATB ticket printer.
Benefits of becoming an Electronic Office (EO) include:
To become an EO, please submit a request to change your office classification via the ARC Accreditation Tool. The fee for this office type change is $75.
Once you have switched your office type, you should destroy old unused ticket stock by following the instructions detailed in ARC’s Industry Agent’s Handbook, Section 10: Paper Ticketing Overview under “Destroying Traffic Documents and Airline Identification Plates.”
