Quarterly Subscription Fee: Travel Agency Service Fees (TASF)
Just a friendly reminder that the $23.99 quarterly subscription fee (1st quarter of 2015, PEDs 01/04/15 through 03/29/15) for travel agency service fees will be debited from your designated ARC account on or after Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Only locations that issued a TASF during quarter will be charged the fee. If your agency is signed up for TASF but remained inactive during the quarter, there will be no quarterly fee charged.
Tip of the Week: Enhancing the Customer Experience with DRS
Did you know that ARC has made some enhancements to Document Retrieval Service (DRS), which will enhance the customer experience with data standards? Listed below are some of the enhancements made to the customer experience with data standards.
- DRS Quick Search defaults to document number. Based on agents' feedback, the DRS Quick Search now defaults to the document number instead of PED. Usage statistics show that 94 percent of all DRS searches are based on document number.
- MCO Type of Service information displays on ticket images. Any information in the "Type of Service" field on an MCO document will now be displayed on the ticket facsimile image. Examples include: Residual Value, Future Air Travel, Deposit and Paper Ticket Fee. This change applies to all MCOs beginning with PED 12/02/12. MCOs settled prior to this date will not include Type of Service information.
- Confidential information messages display on necessary screens. A new confidentiality message will be displayed at the bottom of any DRS screen that contains sensitive or confidential information. The message reads, "SENSITIVE AND CONFIDENTIAL. Data presented or downloadable here may contain ARC-sensitive information. Disclosure to third parties is prohibited without prior written consent of ARC." This message is meant to keep all sensitive and confidential information under strict control.
- Search DRS for up to 39 months of document history. DRS searches are limited to the standard 39 months of document history. Although this restriction has not been enforced for some time, this update complies with ARC's product and data compliance standards
