Memo Manager Update

Recently we implemented updates to Memo Manager XML file upload process. These necessary updates were identified during our work with ARC's Debit Memo Working Group, a group comprised of agents, carriers and GDSs focused on reducing debit memos. The most recent updates include:

  • The ability for an agency to dispute a memo via the XML file upload process
  • The ability for a carrier to accept or reject the dispute using the XML file upload process
  • The ability for correspondence to be added via the XML file upload process (available for all customer groups)
  • The ability for GDS customers to send XML files to ARC for Memo Manager

Tip of the Week: How Can I Verify If a MCO Has Been Exchanged?

When a Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO) has been exchanged, ARC's Document Retrieval Service (DRS) will display the associated new exchange transaction information. In addition to the original issue MCO information, DRS will list the new document number for which the MCO was exchanged, the issue date of the exchange and the PED. An unused MCO will be displayed in DRS only with its original issue information in a single row of data. DRS will not be updated or reflect usage when a customer uses the MCO directly with the carrier.
