Air Uganda Now Accepts Visa and MasterCard

Effective with sales issued on Monday, December 16, 2013 (PED Dec. 22, 2013), Air Uganda (926/U7) will begin accepting Visa and MasterCard as forms of payments through ARC.


ARC Christmas and New Year's Holiday Information

ARC's offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Holiday Sales Report Submission
Weekly sales reports for PED Dec. 22, 2013, must be authorized by 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and weekly sales reports for PED Dec. 29, 2013, must be authorized by midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Holiday Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule
The GDS void/IAR reconciliation dates for tickets issued on Tuesday, Dec. 24 will be extended until Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, and the GDS void/IAR reconciliation dates for tickets issued on Tuesday, Dec. 31 will be extended until Thursday Jan. 2, 2014.

Emergency Document Orders During the Christmas Holiday
The RR Donnelley warehouse will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. Orders placed after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 for next day delivery will be processed on Monday, Dec. 23 to be delivered on Dec. 26, 2013, and second-day deliveries will be processed on Monday Dec. 23, 2013, for delivery on Friday, Dec. 27.

Emergency Document Orders Prior to New Year's Day
The RR Donnelley warehouse will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1. UPS will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Orders placed after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 for next day delivery will be processed on Monday, Dec. 30 to be delivered on January 2, 2014, and second-day deliveries will be processed on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, for delivery on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014.

Introducing New Accreditation Tool Enhancements

In addition to launching the Affirmation project on Dec. 12, 2013, we will also be including a few Accreditation Tool enhancements, which include:

  • Forward and Back buttons to assist with navigation. This will provide our customers with the option to move forwards and backwards by either selecting the new navigational buttons or the existing tabs.
  • Spellcheck in the messaging section. Now when you enter a message, the spellcheck functionality will validate your spelling.
  • An asterisk identifier when a new message has been added. Once someone other than the creator of the message clicks to view, the asterisk will be removed.
  • Additional countries in the address selection list. Currently, we only have the United States. We will be adding American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
  • An email input field for qualifying personnel and in the additional business information area if applicable. This will include Designate Manager, Attendant and Bank Account Access.
  • When materials due are required, they will now be alphabetically listed on the "materials due" page.
  • The "materials due" message will now dynamically display on the screen only when there is a material due. Currently this message is static and displays at all times.
  • A label change for the current request that reads "Less than 30% of stock ownership." This will be changed to "Ownership Change with Current Owners."
  • Validation that the "@" is in the email address on all requests.
  • Validation that the ARC number entered on the requests belongs to the HOL (when applicable) or is valid otherwise.
  • If you have made a change using our new Affirmation process, you will be able to view your Affirmation request in the Accreditation Tool.

News Regarding the New Annual Affirmation Project

We are very pleased to announce the implementation of the new annual Agency Affirmation project scheduled to go live Dec. 12, 2013. With the launch of this project, the Primary Administrator's of the agency will receive an email 105 days prior to their anniversary date. This email will request the affirmation of specific agency information such as business address, ownership and operational contacts. Upon receipt of the email, the Primary Administrator can forward the request to anyone within the agency as long as that individual has Accreditation Tool access. This new annual affirmation will enable ARC to confirm that the agency information we have on file is up to date.

Completing Agency Affirmation is simple. If all of the agency information is accurate, it's as easy as selecting "yes" under each section. If changes are required, they will simply explain which items have changed. We understand how important our customer's time is and have made every effort to make this process as quick, easy and seamless as possible.

It is very important that the agency information is reviewed and either confirmed or corrected on an annual basis. Maintaining accurate information is critical as it allows us to better serve our travel professional community.

Tip of the Week: Unable to Submit an Inaccessible Sales Report?

Are you having trouble authorizing and submitting your weekly sales report due to an "Inaccessible Sales Report" error message? This is the result of a minor system glitch, and there is a simple solution:

  1. Exit IAR by clicking on the Close IAR link in the upper right corner of the IAR sales report screen.
  2. The system will then ask you if you would like to close the browser. Click Yes.
  3. IAR is a pop-up screen, so when you close that particular browser, My ARC should still be open in its own window.
  4. From the My ARC homepage, select IAR from your toolbox.
  5. Open your sales report and authorize the submission.
