Important Labor Day Holiday Information

In observance of Labor Day, ARC's offices will be closed on Monday, September 2. Please note the following schedule changes:

  • Sales Report Submissions Extended
    Agencies will have an extra day to submit the sales report for PED September 1, 2013. The weekly sales report must be authorized by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
  • Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule
    Please note the following extension dates to modify and reconcile IAR transactions issued Friday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sept. 1. The GDS/IAR void extension date is Tuesday,
    Sept. 3.
  • Customer Care Center Hours
    Monday, Sept. 2 - Closed
    Tuesday, Sept. 3 - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    Wednesday, Sept. 4 - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Placing Emergency Document Requisition Orders Before Labor Day Holiday
    Your emergency order should be placed in advance of the 4 p.m. cut-off time on Thursday, Aug. 29 to ensure that it is received on Friday, Aug. 30. Any emergency orders placed on Friday, Aug. 30 will not be delivered until Tuesday, Sept. 3. Please order your stock accordingly.

Labor Day Fraud Alert

Fraudsters are unusually active on holiday weekends (and sometimes the weekends before the holidays). With Labor Day weekend coming up quickly, be on the lookout for phishing emails. Recent phishing emails have included the following subjects:

  • "Maintenance Activity Notification" (from Your GDS)
  • "Your Travel Reservation or Confirmation" (from GOGO Vacations)
  • "Your Reservation Itinerary" (from Delta Air Lines)
  • "Your E-Mail Confirmation from United" (from United Airlines)

Phishing emails instruct you to click on a link to confirm your credentials or to check on your client's booking. In all the examples, the links lead to a replica of your GDS login screen. You may believe it's real, but it is not!

**Never enter your GDS login ID or password through an email!**

What should you do?

  • Ask employees and independent contractors if they confirmed their login IDs or logged into your GDS, believing that the email was authentic. If they did, have them immediately change their GDS passwords. Then contact your GDS for any further instructions they may have for you.
  • Carefully monitor your booking and ticketing in your GDS on the weekend before Labor Day and during the Labor Day weekend. If you find unauthorized stolen tickets or bookings, immediately attempt to void them through the GDS and contact your GDS for further instructions. Change the password of the employee or contractor whose credentials were used to issue the tickets.
  • If you find unauthorized/stolen tickets/bookings, contact ARC's Fraud Prevention team for additional important information at fifp@arccorp.com or (855) 358-0393.

Examples of phishing emails and other valuable information can be found on ARC's Fraud Prevention section on My ARC. Please circulate these fraud alerts to everyone who has access to your GDS account. If you believe you have received a phishing email, please forward the email to fifp@arccorp.com with the subject: Possible Phishing Email.


Tip of the Week: ARC Auto Submission of an IAR Zero-Sales Report

If you notice the auto submission of a zero-sales report has not been posted and the submission deadline has passed, please do not take any action.

If ARC is delayed in auto submitting a zero-sales report, the agency will not be penalized. However, if an agent submits a zero-sales report after the submission deadline, the system will treat the report as being submitted late, so please do not submit zero-sales reports after the submission deadline.
