TAME Airlines Joins ARC

Transportes Aereos Militares Ecuatorianos (TAME Airlines), has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales on March 25, 2013 (PED March 31, 2013). The Ecuadorian airline was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Quito, Ecuador. TAME provides air transportation for passengers and freight services to various cities in Ecuador, in addition to Cali in Columbia and Panama City in Panama. They also offer charter flights to Cartagena, San Andres, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Varadero and Curacao.

TAME has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of TAME unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. At this time, TAME accepts cash as the only form of payment. TAME is offering 5% sales commission on published fare to ARC accredited agents on all tickets issued on their stock (EQ/269).

Czech Airlines No Longer Accepting JCB

Effective PED March 31, 2013 (sales as of March 25, 2013), Czech Airlines (064/OK) will no longer accept JCB as a form of payment through ARC.

Kenmore Air Harbor Voluntary Deletes from ARC

Kenmore Air Harbor (763/M5) will voluntarily delete from ARC effective Monday, April 8, 2013 (PED 04/14/13). Agents are encouraged to submit all outstanding 763/M5 transactions in their IAR report prior to the deletion date.

Reminder Regarding the Accreditation Tool

As many of you are aware, we launched the Accreditation Tool in December 2012, a system that allows you to electronically submit your accreditation changes. With this tool you will simply log in via My ARC, select the request you wish to submit and complete the request; it's that easy! The tool also includes self-servicing features such as checking the status of a submission, messaging ARC via email regarding a submission, electronically attaching documents, accessing information for 39 months, and much more! Note that you must have your Primary Administrator grant you rights to access this tool in order to make changes for your agency.

To date, we've received very positive responses from our users and have experienced a substantial improvement in process time when the request is submitted using this system.

As a gentle reminder, the method for submitting the below request is by way of the Accreditation Tool. The paper forms are obsolete and have been pulled from the forms catalog.

The following forms are currently available via the Accreditation Tool:

  • Major and minor address changes
  • Bank account change
  • Bank account access
  • DBA name change
  • File information request
  • Office classification
  • Less than 30% ownership change
  • Officer change
  • Change in personnel
  • Change tax ID
  • Ticket stock reserve location change
  • Ticket stock reserve access

Tip of the Week: Options for the Financial Guarantee Instrument

Did you know there are three options for the financial guarantee instrument required of all fully accredited ARC agencies? A bond, irrevocable letter of credit and ARC security cash deposit are all acceptable surety instruments. Bonds and letters of credit need to be renewed on an annual basis; the cash deposit never needs to be renewed.
