ARC Thanksgiving Holiday Information

  • Sales Report Submission
    ARC will close its offices for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 to give our employees time to spend with their families. Although we understand you may close for the holiday period as well, please note we cannot provide an extra day for agencies and CTDs to prepare sales reports for PED on Nov. 25. We must authorize your weekly sales report by 11:59 p.m EST on Tuesday, Nov. 27. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
  • Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule
    Please note that the GDS/IAR void date for transactions issued Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 25 is Monday, Nov. 26.
  • Emergency Document Orders During the Thanksgiving Holiday
    In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, ARC will close Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23. Emergency orders placed Wednesday, Nov. 21 before 4 p.m. EST will ship the same day and arrive on Monday, Nov. 26. Second day orders placed on Wednesday, Nov. 21 before 4 p.m. EST will arrive Tuesday, Nov. 27. Please place your document order early to avoid delays. Thanksgiving Holiday - A Long Holiday Weekend for Fraud

Now is the time to prepare for Thanksgiving (no, not the turkey and side dishes) and determine if one of your GDS users received an email purporting to be from your GDS. These phishing emails bare your GDS' logo and state that all users must confirm their login IDs and passwords by a deadline or such will be 'locked'. ARC has sent various fraud alerts with examples of phishing emails that directly target agency employees and independent contractors. Please log into My ARC to view the most recent fraud alert, dated November 15th.

Please forward the November 15th fraud alert to all of your GDS users and ask them if they received such an email and specifically ask them if they "confirmed" their login IDs and passwords believing that the email came from your GDS. If they did, have them change their GDS password before the Thanksgiving weekend and contact your GDS for any other instructions they may have for you.

Have someone review your ticketing over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and if your find unauthorized tickets or access, follow the instructions in the November 15th fraud alert.


ARC Specialist Training and Certification Class

Do you want the opportunity to earn or renew your ARC Specialist Certificate?

The ARC Specialist Training class will be provided at ARC's headquarters in Arlington Virginia from December 4 to December 7.

ARC developed the ARC Specialist Training and Certification program with the help of industry representatives from the travel agent and carrier communities. This program provides education on ARC's policies, procedures, products, and services. In class you will participate in written and verbal exercises as well as group discussions. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a Certificate of Completion and an ARC Specialist Certificate will be presented to those who pass the exam.

$10,000 Transaction Limits Through ARC

You can charge up to $10,000 per transaction when you process your service fees and other travel-related charges via ARC. The transaction limit was increased from $500 to $10,000 in 2011. We accept all major credit cards and the UATP card.

Tip of the Week: Receiving Credit Memo Payments via Memo Manager

Do you have a credit memo in Memo Manager for which you need to receive payment? To obtain payment, you must open the credit memo and select "Pay Full". The credit memo payment will be sent to IAR and the payment will be received via your weekly IAR Sales Report.

At the Memo Detail screen,

  • Select Pay Full.
  • Once selected, Memo Manager - Save displays the message, "Accepted amount is X.XX. Are you sure you want to accept this memo?"
  • Select Yes. You will see a confirmation at the top of the screen that the payment was successfully submitted to IAR.
  • Select Cancel to exit the screen without saving changes. Once selected, the Memo Detail screen displays.
