LAM - Mozambique Airlines Joins ARC

LAM - Mozambique Airlines (TM/068) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales on August 6 (PED August 12, 2012). In operation since 1980, LAM is the flag carrier of the Republic of Mozambique, operating scheduled domestic and international flights, as well as cargo services.

With headquarters in Maputo, Mozambique, LAM offers service to 10 domestic destinations from its hub at Maputo International Airport (MPM) - Beira, Chimoio, Pemba, Quelimane, Inhambane, Tete, Lichinga, Vilankulo and Nampula. In addition, LAM flies to Nairobi, Kenya; Johannesburg, South Africa; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and Luanda, Angola. The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 737, Embraer E-190, E-120 and Bombardier Q44 aircraft and is displayed in Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo and Worldspan.

LAM is offering 5 percent sales commission on published fares to all ARC accredited agents on tickets issued on their stock (TM/068). The airline has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of LAM unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. LAM currently accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

Tip of the Week: ARC Memo Manager - Disputing Memos

In order to dispute a debit memo in Memo Manager, the dispute must be initiated in the Dispute section of the Memo Details page. It should not be added in the Correspondence section. You must use the Dispute section to initiate all disputes. Correspondence is used only to communicate with other entities (e.g., carrier, GDS, or internal colleagues). Entries added in the Correspondence section will not be treated as a dispute and can delay the resolution of your memo.

To start the dispute process, open the memo and click the Dispute button on the grey bar at the top of the page.
