The agent/CTD transaction fee is assessed on a quarterly basis. In 2012, the quarterly fee is set at $.017 per transaction. Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 2.25 million transactions (per entity). A separate debit for this fee will be drawn on or after April 19, 2012, against your ARC designated bank account. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.
Agents continue to report the receipt of new phishing emails that appear to be from a GDS, but in reality are not from a GDS. The emails are from a fraudster trying to entice agents and staff to click on a URL for information such as: activity reports, policy updates, application upgrades or "learn more" links. Once clicked, these links direct agents to a GDS look-alike login page.
Remember: Never log into your GDS using your ID or password via an email!

Do you want the opportunity to earn or renew your ARC Specialist Certificate? The ARC Specialist Training class will be offered April 16-19 at ARC's headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
ARC developed the ARC Specialist Training and Certification program with the help of industry representatives from the travel agent and carrier communities to provide education on ARC's policies, procedures, products, and services. The training class involves written and verbal exercises and group discussions. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, and those who pass the exam will receive an ARC Specialist Certificate.
