2011 Quarterly Transaction Fees - Third Quarter

This is a reminder that the agent/CTD transaction fee is assessed on a quarterly basis. In 2011, the quarterly fee is set at $0.017 per transaction. Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 2.25 million transactions per entity.

A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn on or after Oct. 20, 2011, against your ARC designated bank account. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.

Martinair (MP/129) Announces Voluntarily Deletion from ARC

Martinair notified ARC they will voluntarily terminate from ARC effective Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 (PED 11/13/11).

In order to ensure a smooth transition for agents and their customers, Martinair will inhibit new sales transactions Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, but allow for continued processing of refunds and memos until Monday, Nov. 7, 2011.

On and after Nov. 7, 2011, please submit all outstanding Martinair (MP/129) transactions to the address below for processing:

Document Ordering System (DOS) Will Soon Move Behind My ARC

My ARC is your centralized access point to a growing list of ARC tools and resources. This list will soon include the Document Ordering System (DOS). This means you will no longer be required to have multiple user names and passwords for My ARC and DOS.

Benefits of DOS moving to My ARC include:

  • Single sign-on for DOS and My ARC. You will no longer be required to have multiple user names and passwords for My ARC and DOS
  • Self-service password resets
  • Delegated administrative capabilities such as granting or revoking DOS access
  • A simple user experience
  • The ability to handle multiple users per location
  • Customized content relevant to your organization

To take advantage of all the features and benefits My ARC has to offer, make sure your My ARC account is active. If you don't have a My ARC account, request one through your company's My ARC primary administrator.

ARC will be conducting a number of webinars in the coming weeks to train administrators on these new administrative capabilities.

ARC to Launch ARC Memo Manager 3.2.1

On Thursday, Oct. 27, a new version of ARC Memo Manager will launch. The main update for this release is the masking of credit card numbers. When the system detects a potential credit card number, the leading digits will be masked and only the last four digits will display. Additional changes include attachment upload date display, a search clear button, and a calendar year toggle.

Virgin America Announces E-Ticketing with Amadeus

Virgin America (VX/984) announced that effective Oct. 28, 2011, they will implement e-ticketing with Amadeus.

ET Refund EDIFACT Messaging Will Be Activated for VRG Linhas Aereas

Effective Oct. 31, 2011, the ET Refund EDIFACT messaging will be activated for VRG Linhas Aereas S.A. (127/G3).

To ensure successful refund processing under the IAR ET Refund EDIFACT procedure, you must use the proper commands in your GDS. Contact your GDS for any additional information. If an ET Refund is being performed in IAR, it is important that the coupon status is OPEN at the carrier.

New Form Ranges for Sabre

Please note that Sabre has been assigned a new set of form code ranges which begin with 8700. If you see these ranges in your IAR report, they are valid.

Tip of the Week - Not Seeing Dispute Tab for a Debit Memo in Memo Manager

If you no longer see the dispute tab in Memo Manager for a previously disputed debit memo, please verify the information. You may have reached the maximum number of disputes for that debit memo. (Note: The dispute limit for many carriers is three times.) If you still have questions concerning the debit memo, contact the issuing carrier directly.
