Important Labor Day Holiday Information

In observance of Labor Day, ARC's offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5. Please note the following schedule changes:

  • Sales Report Submissions Extended
    Agencies and CTDs must have sales reports for PED 9/4/11 authorized by midnight EST, Wednesday, Sept. 7.
  • Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule
    Please note the following extension dates to modify and reconcile IAR transactions issued Sept. 2-4. The GDS/IAR void extension date is Sept. 6.
  • Customer Care Center Hours
    ept. 6-7: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern
    Sept. 8-9: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern
  • Placing Emergency Document Requisition Orders Before Labor Day Holiday
    Your emergency order should be placed in advance of the 4 p.m. cut-off on Sept. 1 to ensure that it is received before Sept. 6. Any emergency orders placed on Sept. 2 will not be delivered until Sept. 6. Please order your stock accordingly.

ARC Payment Address Change Effective September 1

Urgent Fraud Alert - New Phishing Email Targeting Agents

Agents continue to report the receipt of new phishing emails from GDSs, but they are not from the GDS. They are from a fraudster trying access your login IDs, sine, pseudo city codes, PINs and passwords.

Immediately advise all of your employees, independent contractors and outside sales teams:

  • Do not click on any URL in an email asking you to change or confirm your login, sine, ID, keyword or password.
  • If someone has already clicked and provided their credentials through an email, review ARC's recent fraud alerts here for some helpful information on what steps to take next.

Tip of the Week - Different FOP for Add Collect

When an exchange is in an error status and the old ticket is removed and re-entered, make sure to verify the form of payment for add collect. It will usually default to the form of payment of the original ticket and not the actual form of payment that the add collect has been charged to.


Rwandair Has Joined ARC as a Participating Carrier

Rwandair (WB/459) has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales on August 29, 2011 (PED: 09/04/2011). Rwandair is the flag carrier of the Republic of Rwanda and is a joint venture between the Government of Rwanda and a private company. It operates a fleet of Boeing 737-500, CRJ200 and Dash8-200 aircraft.

Rwandair serves a substantial route network in East Africa from its main base at Kigali International Airport including Nairobi, Entebbe, Mombasa, Bujumbura, Dar Es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg, Brazzaville, and Dubai. In addition, Rwandair has code share agreements with SN Brussels on the Kigali-Brussels Sector and Ethiopian Airlines on the Kigali-Addis Ababa Sector.

Rwandair is offering 5 percent sales commission on published fares to ARC accredited agents on all tickets issued on their stock (WB/459).

Rwandair has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Rwanda unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. At this time, Rwandair accepts cash as the only form of payment.
