Hellenic Imperial Airways Joins ARC

Hellenic Imperial Airways (HT/570) has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales on March 14, 2011 (PED 3/20/11).

With headquarters in Athens, Hellenic Imperial Airways operates charter and scheduled flights.

The airline operates a fleet of 4 Boeing 747-200B aircraft, and is displayed in Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan GDSs.

Hellenic Imperial Airways is offering 5% sales commission on published fares to ARC-accredited agents on all HT-issued tickets.

Hellenic Imperial Airways has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Hellenic Imperial Airways. Currently, Hellenic Imperial Airways accepts Cash as the only valid form of payment through ARC.

Update on IAR ET Refund EDIFACT Enhancement

ARC is implementing EDIFACT messaging for Electronic Ticket (ET) refunds and voids of ET refunds performed in the IAR system. This means that each ET refund performed manually in IAR will first be verified for eligibility against each participating carrier's ET database (ETDB).

Initial rollout of this enhancement will begin Thursday, March 31 for refunds performed manually in IAR of any American Airlines (AA/001) e-ticket. Assuming no significant processing issues are encountered, ARC will proceed with a phased release each subsequent Thursday by individual carrier(s). 2008 ARC Transaction History File Now Available

ARC's Transaction History File containing your organization's transaction data for all of 2008 is available on CD through May 1. After this date, ARC is scheduled to purge the transaction information older than 39 months. Hurry to obtain this information before it is scheduled to be permanently deleted beginning in May.

This file provides you with your settled and voided transaction information for all PEDs in 2008. It comes equipped with FREE viewer software that allows you to easily search for a specific transaction, view it on screen, and print it onto a single page. Plus, the software is self-contained - there's nothing to install.

You can import the Transaction History text file into several popular software programs, such as Microsoft Excel and Access, in order to create reports, manage, sort, and analyze the data as you please. For more information, please call 703.816.8530 or Click here to learn more.

Tip of the Week: My ARC Security Questions

When you have a My ARC password reset, consider updating your security questions at that time. By updating your security questions, you help make your password safer.

The process for entering and updating your Security Questions can be found under User Info, in the upper left corner of the My ARC homepage.

Of course, you may change the security questions at any time if you believe your information has been compromised. The security questions are space and punctuation sensitive but not case sensitive.

Note: To change any of your security questions you must change all three at the same time and all three answers must be different. This is a necessary password integrity protocol.
