2011 ATB Usage Fee

Effective January 1, 2011, the ARC ATB Usage Fee will be increased to $32.17 per box.

ARC is committed to providing paper ticket documents in a cost-effective manner. However, as printing volume continues to decline, costs to produce paper tickets increase. For these reasons, the ATB usage fee will be increased to $32.17 per box of 1,000 ATB tickets; the document handling fee will remain at $7.50 for any item ordered.

More than ninety-nine percent of all transactions processed through ARC are electronic. The majority of ATB coupons used in travel agencies are for non-traffic documents such as passenger receipts. While the ability to print passenger receipts on ATB stock will not be inhibited, travel agents can choose whether to continue printing passenger receipts on ATB stock or plain paper, such as Mini Itins (where available), or to explore other electronic passenger receipt options provided by their GDS.

  • ARC evaluates the usage of ATB stock twice yearly, and reserves the right to adjust document fees in the future to reflect the ratio of ATB stock used for non-traffic documents
  • ARC Mini Itins can be used with some GDSs to print passenger receipts and itineraries (see here www.arccorp.com/solutions/printables-collection.jsp)
  • Consult your GDS provider for additional information on electronic passenger receipt alternatives

2011 Paper Sales Summary Fee

The 2011 monthly rate for paper sales summaries will increase to $30 per month, effective January 1, 2011


Tip of the Week: Removing Old Documents When Correcting Exchanges

When working on an exchange, and you need to remove the old document and recreate the exchange, do not ET the transaction until you fix the exchange as the new ticket will be locked as a straight sale. If the new document does lock as a straight sale, please call ARC the same day that it becomes a straight sale. By waiting for the next day to contact ARC, it will be too late. Once the void/modification window is past, Customer Care is unable to assist you with recreating the exchange.
