Flybe Joins ARC

Flybe (BE/267) has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales on October 11, 2010 (PED 10/17/10).

Flybe has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Flybe unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier. Document Retrieval Service Modification

Over the next several weeks, the ARC Document Retrieval Service (DRS) will be modified to store Initial data for 18 months instead of 39 months as has been the past standard. This change impacts only Initial sales transactions received from the GDSs for purposes of loading to IAR and ARC Compass®. This change does not impact Settled transactions, which will continue to be available for 39 months.

Reducing the amount of stored Initial DRS data will allow that additional storage space to be repurposed and better utilized. This is a minimal change for DRS users because only 1/10th of 1% of all DRS searches are of Initial data that is older than 18 months.

DRS continues to be a free service that provides immediate access to over 3 years of IAR-reported ticketing data in a paperless format in accordance with PCI standards. Please contact our Customer Care Center with any questions at +1 703.816.8003 or

This is a reminder that the agent/CTD transaction fee is assessed on a quarterly basis. In 2010, the quarterly fee is set at $.020 (2 cents) per transaction. Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 2.0 million transactions per entity. A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn on or after October 21, 2010, against your ARC designated bank account. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.

Tip of the Week: Granting IAR Access to Users in My ARC

Don't forget that when you grant IAR tool access in My ARC that the user will at that point have View Only status in IAR. The IAR Administrator needs to then go into IAR and assign the user a User Role and User Group.

To do this, in IAR the Administrator clicks on the Administrations tab and then selects the User profile to edit.

  • Once in the User Profile, select a User Role from the dropdown menu
  • Select a User group from the Available Groups column and move it to the Selected Groups column
  • Click the Submit button
