This is a reminder that the agent/CTD transaction fee is assessed on a quarterly basis. In 2010, the quarterly fee is set at $.020 (2 cents) per transaction. Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 2.0 million transactions per entity. A separate debit representing this fee will be drawn on or after October 21, 2010, against your ARC designated bank account. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.
Secure Flight is a behind the scenes program that enhances the security of domestic and international commercial air travel through the use of improved watch list matching. When passengers travel, they will be required to provide the following Secure Flight Passenger Data (SFPD) which will be subsequently passed to the airline when making a reservation:
After November 1, 2010, passenger reservations without full SFPD will be rejected by Secure Flight and will not be processed. This policy will apply to all passenger records regardless of source, aircraft operator or air carrier. British Airways (BA/125) has announced that effective January 1, 2011, it will no longer accept paper tickets.
Sales Report Submission:
ARC's offices will be open on Monday, October 11, 2010, for the Columbus Day Holiday. Agencies and CTDs will not have an extra day to prepare the sales report for PED 10/10/10. Your weekly sales report must be authorized by midnight Tuesday, October 12.

Beginning October 1, ARCMarketPlace.com will be implementing a new bonus commission program for ARC participating agencies. This new volume-based payout will be in addition to the 6% commission payouts on all sales transactions today.
How it works:
The current 6% monthly commission payouts stay in place. A quarterly bonus commission will be paid based on achieved sale amounts each quarter*:
Tier 1: $0-$450 sales = No bonus commission
Tier 2: $451 - $1000 sales = 1% bonus commission
Tier 3: $1001 - $2000 sales = 2% bonus commission
Tier 4: $2001 and higher sales = 4% bonus commission
Eligible agencies will begin accruing bonus commissions on October 1 - no additional application or sign-up is required. The first quarterly bonus commission payment for 2010 Q4 will be paid in January 2011.
* Bonus commission is paid based on sales during that particular quarter and will be net of refunds and adjustments.
When refunding or exchanging tickets, please remember to check the individual carrier's refund or exchange policy before issuing the refund or exchange in the GDS.
Please note that debit memos could be issued by carriers for transactions processed without proper waiver codes or ESACs.
