2009 Quarterly Transaction Fees - 3rd Quarter Reminder

The transaction fee is assessed quarterly. In 2009, the fee is $.019 (1 and 9/10ths of a cent). Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 1.875 million transactions per entity. A separate debit representing the fee will be drawn on or after October 22, 2009, against the account designated by your agency. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.


Air Mauritius Joins ARC

Air Mauritius (MK/239) has joined ARC as a participating carrier effective with sales on October 19, 2009 (PED 10/25/09).

Air Mauritius is the national carrier of the Republic of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Created in 1967, Air Mauritius current operates a fleet of five A340-300, two A340-300E, two A319-100, one A330-200 and two ATR72-500s.

Air Mauritius has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agents of Air Mauritius. At this time, Air Mauritius accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa and cash as valid forms of payment through ARC.

ARC Launches New ARC Specialist Question Pool for Testing

Effective November 1, 2009, a new ARC Specialist Question and Answer Pool will be used for the ARC Specialist examination. ARC Specialist candidates who are planning on testing after November 1, 2009 will need the new set of questions for study purposes. Tip of the Week: BOS Download History

Want to check on the status of your BOS download?

The BOS File Download History screen shows the user a history of BOS files that have been created, the date and time of download, the status of the download, the user who requested the file and any comments related to the file.

To view the BOS File Download History, at the IAR Home Page screen:

  1. Click the global BOS header; the default Create BOS Internet File screen will display.
  2. Next, click the Download BOS File tab and the Download BOS Internet File screen displays.
  3. The results will show requested file names and times, with the file status located in the Status column.

Please remember that after the file shows requested, the history results are being created. All relevant BOS file results will be loading until completed.
