2009 Quarterly Transaction Fees - 2nd Quarter

The transaction fee is assessed quarterly. In 2009, the fee is $.019 (1 and 9/10ths of a cent). Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 1.875 million transactions per entity. A separate debit representing the fee will be drawn on or after July 23, 2009, against the account designated by your agency. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.


ARC E-Mail Communication Profile Online Now - Get Connected!

We're proud to announce the ARC E-mail Communication Profile for our travel professional customers.

This initiative began as a way to help ARC-accredited Agents, VTCs and CTDs fulfill the contractual requirement of providing an operational e-mail address to ARC beginning this year. But we saw an opportunity for this profile to be much more.

Filling out the profile will not only fulfill that requirement, but will also allow us to better route our e-mail communications and provide you with a way to keep your e-mail contact information updated that's easy and free of charge.

We're also asking for your role within your agency, the type of travel you sell, and what types of communications you'd like to receive. It's a great way to make sure you're connected to all of ARC's product and service offerings, as well as the right industry partners.

Croatia Airlines CORRECTION

Due to miscommunication, last week's TAC announced Croatia Airlines as having changed to the general concurrence method of agent appointment. This is incorrect. Croatia Airlines continues to use the Specific Appointment method of agent appointment.


ARC MarketPlace Training

Training classes for ARC MarketPlace - which will also include information about additional revenue-generating opportunities - are being offered this fall. Each free one-hour interactive training class will be conducted online with audio conferencing through Microsoft Live Meeting. Classes will be led by an ARC instructor and participants can ask questions while viewing and following the instructor's presentation.

Class dates are scheduled to be held once a month throughout 2009.

Tip of the Week: Online Help

When working in the My ARC, ARC Document Retrieval Service (DRS), IAR, or Memo Manager you can find help online.

To access the online help, click on 'Help' in the upper right corner of the main blue-gray area. This will open up a new window with the first topic relevant to that screen. If the task you want to perform is not listed, click 'Show' in the upper left corner for the entire Help File listing.

Once you open the expanded view, you can:

  • browse the Table of Contents
  • search an index of keywords
  • perform a general search

To access the different features, click on the 'Table,' 'Index,' 'Search,' or 'Glossary' buttons in the upper left corner.

To browse the Table of Contents, click on the 'Table' button. On the left side bar, click on the page or book icon to view topic.

To search the Index, click on the 'Index' button. Type topic you want to view. Click on topic from the list on the left side bar to view topic.

To perform a general Search, click on the 'Search' button. Type the topic you want to view, click on 'Go' and then click on the topic from the results list on the left side bar.
