Alitalia (Compagnia Aera Italiana S.p.A.) has notified ARC of the acquisition of Air One. Due to the integration of the two airlines, Alitalia is announcing the voluntary deletion of Air One (867/AP) from ARC, effective Monday, June 22, 2009 (PED 06/28/09). Alitalia will provide detailed ticketing instructions for AP-transactions in the next edition of the TAC, including the processing of unused Air One coupons (refunds and exchanges) in IAR, after deletion from ARC.
In the meantime, agents are encouraged to submit all outstanding Air One transactions prior to June 22, 2009.
Athens Airways (ZF/237) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales on June 1, 2009 (PED 06/07/09).
Athens Airways is headquartered in Athens, Greece and uses Athens as its main hub of operations. In the present, Athens Airways has scheduled domestic flights within Greece utilizing a fleet of EMJ145 and DASH 8-300 aircraft. Athens Airways plans to add larger airplanes to its fleet and to expand its route system.
Athens Airways has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment whereby all ARC-accredited agencies and corporate travel departments are automatically appointed as agents of Athens Airways. At this time, Athens Airways accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC.

Effective with sales of June 1, 2009 (PED 06/07/09), Singapore Airlines (SQ/618) no longer accepts Diners Club Intl as a valid form of payment through ARC.
