Effective Monday, April 13th, the Customer Support Center business hours are changing for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only. Our new Hours of Operation are:
Monday and Tuesday - 9:00am - 9:00pm EST
Wednesday thru Friday - 9:00am - 7:30pm EST
Also effective Monday, April 13th, the phone menu options are changing. The Customer Support phone options are:
Commissionable Products and Services - option # 1
Accreditations - option # 3
Spanish, Puerto Rico & the Virgin Islands - option # 4
All others - option # 5
By making these changes to our business hours and phone menu options, we will be able to better assist you, our customers, during the times you are calling into the Customer Support Center. As a reminder, business hours for Mondays and Tuesdays will remain the same, 9:00am - 9:00pm EST.
The transaction fee is assessed quarterly. In 2009, the fee is $0.019 per transaction. Agencies reporting an aggregate of less than 1,000 transactions per quarter will not be assessed transaction fees. The maximum number of transactions for which an agency can be charged in a quarter is 1.875 million transactions per entity. A separate debit representing the fee will be drawn on or after April 23, 2009 against the account designated by your agency. Only one draft will be issued for consolidated drafting agents.
ARC has learned of several recent ownership schemes in which the "new owner" was given complete access to ticketing, carrier funds, bank accounts, etc. without ever having submitted or obtained the required written approval for a change of ownership application. These cases resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollarsof loss to the carriers and thus to the agency and/or agency owner(s) who allowed access and control to the agency's financial and contractual obligations by an unapproved third party.

Training classes for ARC MarketPlace - which will also include information about additional revenue-generating opportunities - are being offered this fall. Each free one-hour interactive training class will be conducted online with audio conferencing through Microsoft Live Meeting. Classes will be led by an ARC instructor and participants can ask questions while viewing and following the instructor's presentation.
Class dates are scheduled to be held once a month throughout 2009.
