Kenya Airways Joins ARC

Kenya Airways (KQ/706) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales on December 22, 2008 (PED 12/28/08).

Kenya Airways is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, home to the amazing Masai Mara, Mount Kenya and the Amboseli Game park, and has been operating as a scheduled carrier since 1977. Kenya Airways operates scheduled flights in East Africa between Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam, Entebbe, Kigali, and Bujumbura, and regionally, between Nairobi and Johannesburg, Mayotte/Comoros, Maputo, Harare, Lubumbashi, Seychelles, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Cairo, Khartoum, Abidjan, Douala, Cotonou, Freetown, Accra, Lagos, Monrovia, Bamako, and Dakar. Kenya Airways also provides scheduled international service between Nairobi and Amsterdam, Paris, London, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Mumbai and Dubai. Kampala's Entebbe Airport and Nairobi, Kenya. The airline operates Boeing 777-200, 767-300, 737-800, 737-700, 737-300 and Embraer 170 aircraft.

Kenya Airways is displayed in the Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan GDSs, and is offering an introductory 3.5% sales commission on published fares to ARC-accredited agents until March 31, 2009.


ARC Customer Support Center Holiday Eve Hours

This year, on both Wednesday, December 24th (Christmas Eve) and Wednesday, December 31st (New Year's Eve), the Customer Support Center will close at 7 P.M. EST.


A Reminder From ARC To Help Assure A Safe And Secure Holiday Season

Remember to review your IAR report every day, especially during the holidays. The 'bad guys' are well known to initiate fraudulent transactions during the long holiday weekend when they think no one is watching. The best defense against these fraudulent transactions is you. Help keep yourself safe from the fraudsters with daily vigilance of your IAR report and those who are provided access to it.

ARC's offices will be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26, 2008, in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Agencies and Corporate Travel Departments will not have an extra day to prepare the sales report for PED 12/28/08. Your weekly sales report must be authorized by midnight, Tuesday, December 30.

Ticket Modification/Voiding Schedule

Please note the following dates to modify and reconcile IAR transactions issued Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25:

  • GDS Void Date: Friday, December 26
  • IAR Reconciliation Date: Monday, December 29

Emergency Document Orders During the Christmas Holiday

Emergency orders placed on Wednesday, December 24, before 4:00 Eastern Standard Time will be delivered Friday, December 26 due to UPS scheduling. Emergency orders placed on Thursday, December 25 or Friday, December 26, will be delivered Tuesday, December 30.

ARC's offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2009, in observance of the New Year's Holiday. Agencies and Corporate Travel Departments will not have an extra day to prepare the sales report for PED 01/04/09. Your weekly sales report must be authorized by midnight, Tuesday, January 6.

Tip of the Week: Printing the Sales Summary

You can print a copy of your sales summary from any computer with Internet access and a printer.

  • Log into MyARC at https://myarc.arccorp.com/PortalApp/PreLogin.portal
  • In the Tool box on the left, click the Internet Sales Summary link
  • Click on view link either under Last 3 PEDs or Last 24 Months column of the ACN# report you need
  • If you clicked the view link under the Last 3 PEDs column,
    • On the left side, click CURRENT RPTS - LAST 3 PEDS
    • Enter your ARC number in the ACN# field
    • Click OK
  • If you clicked the view link under Last 24 Months column
    • On the left side, click on the quarter that the sales report that you are searching for is in
    • Enter your ARC number in the ACN# field
    • Click OK
  • Open the sales report that you are searching for by clicking on the line that displays the PED.
    • Remember: the PED reads year(YY)/month(MM)/day(DD)
  • Click on the printer (print report) icon in the upper left corner
