ARC has been advised that Frontier Airlines (F9/422) has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11. Travel agents and CTDs are asked to visit the ARC website at www.arccorp.com for updated information regarding handling of the reporting and settlement of the sales report period ending April 13, 2008 and future transaction processing. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
ARC will begin offering a self-paced online training course for Memo Manager. The full course for agencies will be available towards the end of April and will cost $30 for 120 days of access. The full course includes 6 training modules or "chapters" - beginning with an introduction and registration - and then provides detailed information on how to use the Memo Manager system. The training is interactive and an online movie simulates the actions that a user would take in the Memo Manager application. A demo of the course is currently available and includes the chapter on Registration and Using the Memo Tab. The training module is designed to be a place to learn about Memo Manager, as well as a safe place for "trial and error", providing you with a head start when working in Memo Manager.

ARC's Risk Management Department will be hosting a Fraud Prevention Workshop on Monday, April 21, in Las Vegas. Industry-specific topics to be covered will include credit card fraud, counterfeiting, and agency-targeted scams. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their travel industry experience and concerns with ARC representatives. ARC hopes to use this feedback to help shape future fraud prevention seminars for Travel Professionals. The ARC Fraud Prevention Workshop is a free event, conveniently planned for the afternoon before the TRAMS Technology and Marketing University (April 22-24).
