ARC applauds the significant success of IATA's e-ticketing initiative outside of the United States. In the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa, ARC e-ticket processing is already at or near the IATA e-ticketing objective and is presently at 98% and rising. ARC does not intend to revoke paper tickets or restrict new stock orders from ARC-accredited travel agencies for the foreseeable future. This position has been validated by ARC's Board of Directors of airline representatives.
Lufthansa has announced that they will begin using ARC Memo Manager to distribute memos to agencies starting on March 6, 2008. Lufthansa has also announced that they reserve the right to impose a $10 fee to agents who do not use ARC Memo Manager to process debit memos. This fee applies to debit memos that are issued on or after March 6, 2008. ARC is suspending its processing of Boston-Maine Airways (E9/385) effective immediately. Transactions received with the report for sales week (PED) ending 03/02/08 will be processed as usual. E9-transactions submitted in sales reports for PED 03/09/08 and thereafter will be rejected and/or returned unprocessed. Travel professionals holding E9-transactions subject to remittance or refund are asked to contact the carrier directly at:

Effective with sales of March 3, 2008 (PED 03/09/08), both Aircalin (SB/063) and LAN Ecuador (XL/462) accept UATP as a form of payment through ARC.
