ARC Ticket Resolution Service Update

Effective December 2007, the ARC Ticket Resolution Service (TRS) began collection of certain improperly reported sales (credit card chargebacks) using data submitted through ARC Memo Manager (AMM).

Improperly reported sales include those noted under the following reason codes:

  • Expired card
  • Invalid credit card number
  • Invalid/no auth approval code
  • Unauthorized charge
  • Fraud/unauthorized charge

When improperly reported sales data is received by TRS, agents are notified the same as with the current unreported sales process.

ARC and its TRS Department remain committed to working with agents to resolve all improperly reported and unreported sales in an expedited and efficient manner.

Fake Driver's License Stuck One Agency for $40,000

Can you recognize a "fake" driver's license from another state?

One agency received a faxed copy of a driver's license and credit card (front and back) and the agency bought the fraudster's story and issued various tickets, with no problems - until the debit memos arrived months later.

The "I.D. Checking Guide" is designed to help businesses validate driver's licenses from EVERY state and Canada, federal documents such as passports, military ID cards and immigration documents and bank cards including American Express, Diners Club and Visa.

Although this guide in no way limits an Agent's responsibilities regarding fraud, ARC believes that the "I.D. Checking Guide" is one more valuable and inexpensive resource (less than $30) available to help protect you, your agency, affiliates, etc. from fraudsters.

If the agency described above had compared the faxed copy of the license to the sample in the "I.D. Checking Guide," they may have been able to easily turn away that customer and prevented over $40,000 in chargebacks. Don't be without this valuable resource. As an added resource to help protect your agency, Click Here to purchase the Guide.
