2008 Holiday Schedule

ARC will provide automatic reporting concessions for six holidays in 2008. If the holiday falls on Monday or Tuesday following the close of a sales report period, the Submission Deadline for the closed sales period will be extended from Tuesday 11:50 p.m. ET to Wednesday 11:59 p.m. ET. In addition, these six days will be designated as "non-business" days for reporting purposes.

  • New Year's Day
  • Independence Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas

ARC will no longer automatically recognize the following holidays:

  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President's Day
  • Good Friday
  • Columbus Day
  • Veteran's Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Rosh Hashanah
  • Yom Kippur

ARC will accept requests, via phone or email, from agents that have a business need for a reporting extension for other holidays. Each extension will be granted on an individual case basis as long as the following guidelines are followed.

Extension Guidelines:

  • The holiday must fall on Monday or Tuesday following the close of a sales report period, the Submission Deadline for the closed sales period will be extended from Tuesday 11:50 p.m.
  • Agency must be doing zero ticketing on the holiday for which the extension is requested.
  • Agency must request extension before the holiday occurs. Those requests should be submitted no later than the last Friday prior to the Holiday.
  • ARC will supply an incident number and e-mail confirmation for the granted holiday extension.
  • If the holiday falls on a Monday or Tuesday, they get the reporting and void extension.
  • If the holiday falls Wednesday through Friday, they only receive a void extension, not a reporting extension.
  • An additional extension is not provided for ARC holidays which fall on a non-business day (Saturday or Sunday).

For extension requests and questions, contact ARC's Customer Support Center at csc@arccorp.com or 703-816-8003 Option 2, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm EST.

Credit Card Masking in IAR and in the Back Office System File

Effective Thursday, September 20, 2007, IAR and the Back Office System (BOS) file will be enhanced, masking the credit card numbers in the Form of Payment and Fare Calculation fields. The purpose of this enhancement is to comply with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, ARC's Data Security standards and to better protect your data. Credit card numbers displayed in the Form of Payment and Fare Calculation fields will be masked by asterisks except for the last 4-digits of the number. Credit card numbers will be masked by default for all IAR users and unmasked by default for the BOS file with the option to mask.

For detailed information on this enhancement, please refer to ARC News and Announcements on ARC's corporate web site or IAR Help News and Information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact ARC's Customer Support Center at 703-816-8003.

Tip of the Week: IAR Administrative Coverage

Having more than one IAR Administrator in your organization can decrease reporting issues that can arise when your sole IAR Administrator is unavailable. If you have multiple agents within your office, it is recommended that you add at least one additional IAR Administrator to serve as backup. The primary role of an IAR Administrator is to manage IAR user accounts. This includes:

  • Creating additional user accounts
  • Modifying a user account
  • Deleting a user account
  • Defining a user's role
  • Resetting a user's password

When a sole IAR Administrator is unavailable, user management functions cannot be performed. This may potentially impact sales reporting and may result in needless debit memos and/or unreported sales.

To learn how to assign a user an IAR Administrator role, please refer to www.arccorp.com/webhelp/iar/ (IAR Online Help) or contact the ARC Customer Support Center at (703)816-8003 or csc@arccorp.com.

Please distribute the ARC TAC among staff and colleagues.
