
Arlington, VA - June 25, 2012 - Avior Airlines (9V/742) has joined ARC as a participating carrier, effective with sales on June 11 (PED June 17, 2012). In operation since 1994, Avior Airlines is a privately owned Venezuelan airline offering scheduled and charter flights.
With headquarters in Barcelona, Anzoétegui, Venezuela, Avior Airlines operates Boeing 737-200 aircraft from its hub at Generél José Antonio Anzoétegui International Airport (BLA) to 10 domestic destinations. Their international routes include Curaçao in the Netherland Antilles, Aruba, and Miami in the United States. Effective July 1, flights will commence to Panama City, Panama.
Avior Airlines is displayed in Sabre and Amadeus and soon in Galileo. The airline has elected the General Concurrence method of agent appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as agent of Avior Airlines unless specifically advised otherwise by the carrier. At this time Avior Airlines accepts cash as the only form of payment through ARC. In the near future, credit cards will be accepted. The airline is offering 5 percent commission on published fares to ARC accredited agents on tickets issued on their stock (9V/742).
